Perched atop a dormant volcano this castle is the hybrid of architectural styles, visual delights and the perfect place to understand the core of Scottish history. Though parts of it still remain in military use, but with record-breaking visitors every year and illustrious history, Edinburgh Castle has now become the world-famous icon of Scotland.

Home of antiquated and romantic castles, starkly beautiful landscapes, incredible old buildings, and structures, Scotland never disappoints its visitors resulting in finding itself in the bucket list of numerous travelers. And for a person like me, who is from India and grew up watching Bollywood movies, Scotland holds a special place in my bucket list too. Used as a location for many Bollywood songs, no doubt Scotland attracts many tourists every year from India. Luckily I got a golden chance to visit Edinburgh, the capital site of Scotland, just before the coronavirus lockdown.
