The Woman That I Am: An Anthology Celebrating Womanhood

Overview

As they say - first is always special. And for me, the anthology - The Woman That I Am - conceived and compiled by Rashi Roy and Manas Mukul will always be special. The journey that started as a blog hop with more than 60 participants and hosted by amazing hosts Rashi and Manas finally concluded and got published in the form of an anthology.

Womanhood is a gift to be treasured and valued.

I am proud to share the space with 30 amazing writers and bloggers who poured their hearts out in the form of poetry, fiction and anecdotes and celebrated womanhood with the power of their pens.

Why this anthology is unique

This bilingual anthology celebrates womanhood with write-ups in both Hindi and English. Here, you will find amazing poetries, fictions and anecdotes showing the power and beauty of womanhood. Some chapters of this anthology will show you how much power a woman can have and on the other hand some will take you to the emotional journey of women’s struggles and triumphs.

A woman can be anything she wants to be. She just needs to unleash her powers.

My poem “Being A Woman” for this anthology

Here is an excerpt from my poem Being A Woman that I have written for this anthology:

Womanhood is a gift to be treasured and valued, often wrapped in lots of abilities,
It’s also a privilege that comes with certain inescapable responsibilities.
The ideal woman of our age is in control of her own life and decisions,
They are glamorous, sophisticated, powerful, career-minded and full of ambitions.

Last but not least, I would like to thank Rashi and Manas for their continuous effort and hard work. And being a woman, I am so humbled and honoured to be a part of this anthology that celebrates womanhood.
